Container-based activations have become extremely popular in the recent years. This is due to their ability to consistently and effectively provide a unique and successful experience for the brands that use them. Samsung knew that they wanted to use containers for their 2016 Lollapalooza activation. We were fortunate enough to be the team that designed and manufactured it. We designed and fabricated everything from the pony walls constructed around the carnival ride to the large container based retail structure in the center of the activation. The containers were dewalled on one side in order to create an inviting and open-ended experience for patrons. These containers were used as retail stores as well as product showrooms where people could experience the Samsung gear VR device.
