SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2016: PARK CITY’S KIMBALL ART CENTER GETS EXTREME MAKEOVER IN 14 DAYS!

Park City Utah

ACME and its agency partners successfully completed a 30 day build-out at the Kimball Art Center in Park City.  Samsung USA took over the 14,000 sq. ft. building and needed experiential, theater, and influencer spaces that include a cafe, screening lounge, and virtual reality experience. Through close coordination, ACME built the café, a complex, 13’ tall device sculpture, an all-glass tent for the virtual reality experience, and a false cover for the entire building’s exterior.  Beautiful stained cedar, stainless steel, and powder coated steel were used throughout. The rough exterior of the building was drastically updated with engineered, powder-coated steel panels and internally-lit can letters.  ACME’s on-site team of carpenters, fabricators, painters and project managers installed elements crafted at ACME’s HQ, and built 150’ of custom walls among other items on site, in freezing weather.  In total, eight semis of built elements were shipped to site.  Another three truckloads of raw material were sourced locally.

Officials from Park City reached out to ACME president Francesco DiGrado and commented on the fine job that was done rehabilitating and preserving the historical building for the ten day event.

ACME has the reach, agility and the talent to make your next experience a big success.
